LOST. Rest in Peace.

In case you didn’t know, the series finale of LOST aired two nights ago, bringing an end to 6 seasons of chaos and mystery. Rather than try to sum up whatever happened, I’m convinced there’s no one correct way to look at things, so I’ll leave you with a list of feelings, thoughts, and opinions on the finale.

1. I totally cried when Jack and Kate said “I love you”. What a moment.
2. I am convinced the island was real. Christian Shephard stated that “some (died) before you, some long after you” when Jack asked if “they” (everyone in the church) were dead. So therefore, the plane crashed, and “they” were still alive until they died later in the distant and in some cases, not-so-distant future.
3. What was Ben doing on the island when Oceanic 815 crashed for the first time? Had he joined the Ruffians (I cant remember their real name) and overthrown the Dharma Initiative for the sake of research or in the quest of capturing the island’s power?
4. Did Locke originally die when Ben shot him?
5. I wish the writers had explained Walt’s “powers”. I think most intense fans wanted some kind of explanation or closure with Walt’s story.
6. Why would Jack have married Juliet in the afterlife? I figured deep down he would have wanted Kate, and vice versa.
7. I’m still confused as to whether or not Sawyer killed Locke’s father.
8. I need to re-watch the series from the beginning.
9. Was spending most of Season 5 in 1977 really necessary?
10. This is all I’ve got. I imagine the questions and wonder will linger for years and years to come. I hope you all enjoyed LOST as much as I did, I’ll miss it.
