Twin Peaks – Laura Palmer’s Cemetery

Welcome to the Sierra Madre cemetery in Sierra Madre, CA.  This particular cemetery was the filming location for Laura Palmer’s funeral in the third episode of Twin Peaks’ first season.  One particularly cool thing about this specific scene is that it’s the largest gathering of the cast than any other scene throughout the series.

The cemetery easily ranks near the top of Twin Peaks locations as it is literally unchanged from filming in the fall of 1989.  Wandering around the cemetery you will easily recognize the tree where James stands.  The cemetery is also used during the scene where Dr. Jacoby visits Laura’s grave.  I guess we Twin Peaks fans are left to assume that Leland was buried here right next to Laura in an imaginary deleted scene.

Rest in peace Laura.
