After Frank Booth takes Jeffrey Beaumont on the joyride, they end up in a lumber wasteland in the middle of nowhere to continue partying and beat poor Jeffrey to a pulp. In the real world, this takes place at a real lumber wasteland in the middle of nowhere as well. North of downtown Wilmington, just a few blocks from the airport (and Michael Jordan’s childhood home), we can see it all for ourselves. I saw no Meadow Lane though!
I would like to send a huge thanks to Benedict R. Fancy for helping me find this location. He’s currently directing a documentary on the making of Blue Velvet which you should check out.
