Lost Highway – Fred Madison’s House

Just like in the movie, Fred Madison’s house sits nestled in the Hollywood Hills, just a few twists and turns from the ole 101 freeway and the rest of the madness.

It sits just as it did when it was used in filming during 1996 and is quite an intriguing structure – and YES, the intercom is there (Dick Laurent is dead!!) as seen below.  I couldn’t help but wonder what secrets and stories this house holds in the real world.

Also, there is another section of the house further down the hill with a garage, and I spotted quite a peculiar item sitting out front, courtesy of the zoom lens…

Interesting, looks like it’s been changed a bit and in the process of more changes. I’d love to ask DL why he chose this house? Thank’s Brad!

I always loved the tall narrow windows on the house and the steps leading up to the front door. Seeing flashes of Renee picking up the envelope right now :)
