Back when I was nine years old watching Twin Peaks for the first time, I was immensely fascinated with the brothel known as One Eyed Jack’s. I had no idea it was a whorehouse, it just seemed like a very dark, mysterious, and ominous place.
On my 29th birthday I had the huge thrill of visiting the location where One Eyed Jack’s was filmed for Episodes 2, 6 and 7 during Season 1. It is actually a residence, immaculately decorated by the homeowners who owned it during filming in the fall of 1989. The owner noticed Twin Peaks filming around the neighborhood and offered their home for use, as it’s been in various other films over the years (I can’t remember specifically, but Patrick Swayze himself had also filmed there). The owner also mentioned that Kyle MacLachlan was really nice, and David Lynch was “all business”.
Anyway, let’s get down to brass tacks.
We first see the Brothers Horne arriving at the dock, which is in the back yard as seen below. Just up the stairs from the dock is the tree where the One Eyed Jack’s sign was placed in front of.
Moving inside, Ben and Jerry enter up through these stairs into the welcoming room….
Which leads to the bar area. I couldn’t resist the idea of climbing back there for a pic.
Below you will notice that all the girls and Blackie come out of a tiny little bathroom! They must have been crammed in there, notice the New Girl leads Ben right back in from whence she came. Classy girl…
Also of note is the aquarium where Cooper and Jacques discuss Laura Palmer’s final night. It’s actually right next to the stairs from where Ben and Jerry enter below. No more fishies though.
Above, you’ll notice the bridge from where Hawk is staked out during Episode 6 and it is visible from the back yard.
Thanks for checking out this exclusive look at the REAL One Eyed Jack’s!
