“you touch me, I yell rat…”
Of all the Ferris filming sites I’ve located so far, this has to be the most disappointing. Sadly, this site is a residential building and not a restaurant at all! Even if this place had been a McDonald’s I would have excitedly eaten there. If you are in the area and you are as big of a Ferris fan as me, you should still feel compelled to see it with your own eyes. It is in downtown Chicago about 4 miles northeast of the art museum.
All of my research indicates that the interior of Chez Luis was filmed in Los Angeles in the same restaurant from “Some Kind of Wonderful”. I will get to the bottom of this and find it this summer! If any of you have additional information feel free to post it.
